When The Old Gods Rise

Metal Dark Epic Contains AI-generated material

When The Old Gods Rise takes Crimson Ruin deep into a world of forgotten myths, ancient gods and legends carved in fire. Built around the sound and spirit of early 80s heavy metal, the album charges forward with galloping bass, chugging guitars, soaring twin leads and huge warrior choruses, while each song opens the gate to a different tale of wonder, horror and doom. Across the album, thunder gods clash with world serpents, wizards tear the skies apart, dragons wake beneath ruined mountains, and cursed creatures rise from the shadows of old stories. The journey moves from the stone corridors of the Minotaur’s labyrinth to the haunted glow of the northern lights, from Medusa’s tragic curse to the sky-borne charge of the Valkyries, before ending in the heartbreak and betrayal of Camelot. This is an album of fire and folklore, of love and loss, of monsters, magic, sacrifice and pride. When The Old Gods Rise is Crimson Ruin returning to the roots of heavy metal storytelling: epic, dark, melodic and full of mythical power.
